Chantal Meza approached Underfall Yard Trust to say she wanted to create a painting inspired by Underfall Yard’s recovery from the fire. She wanted to capture a sense of timelessness, romantic illusion and a hopeful dreamscape. She donated the artwork for auction with all proceeds going to the recovery fund, showing the amazing support of our community.
Joe de Tisi, of Boatyard Workshop, has worked as a boatbuilder at Underfall Yard for over 10 years. He generously offered his time to make a frame out of timber reclaimed from Underfall Yard to complete the artwork.
Meet the Artist:
Chantal will be at Underfall Yard Christmas Market to talk with visitors about why she was inspired to support Underfall Yard and the artwork she has created.
